Food for Life - How Foods Fight Cancer

This is a four class serices. There is a $60 fee to particpate. The fee includes samplings of 24 recipes. A text/cookbook is loaned to students. To register, call Melissa in Community Connection at 814-443-5735.
The four-class program provides information about how specific foods and nutrients discourage cancer growth plus cooking demonstrations of simple and healthy recipes that can be recreated easily at home. The instructor is Laurie Jacobson.
Program content includes: an introduction to how foods fight cancer; fueling up on low-fat, high fiber foods; discovering dairy and meat alternatives; and cancer-fighting compounds and healthy weight control.
The four dates of classes are: September 8, 15, 22, and 29.
