Help for a restful sleep
Do you snore?  Are you always feeling tired?  Have you ever woken up gasping or choking?  These symptoms can be a sign of a serious health concern called Obstructive Sleep Apnea.
Seven years ago, Harold Showman, the voice of WVSC for over 45 years, snored so badly that his wife began sleeping in another room.  Harold came to the Sleep Lab at Somerset Hospital and found out how good sleep can change your life.

"Since that first sleep study, Harold has been the ideal patient," states Tanya Zehner, Director of the Sleep Lab.  "For seven years, he has faithfully used his CPAP, attended support group meetings and snores no more," Tanya added.  Additionally, Harold says he feels better and his blood pressure has been kept under control as a result of using this CPAP.

The Sleep Lab at Somerset Hospital can help diagnose obstructive sleep apnea, restless leg syndrome and nocturnal oxygenation problems.  If you’re experiencing excessive daytime sleepiness, loud or disruptive snoring, gasping or choking during sleep, grogginess or morning headaches, depression or irritability, the Sleep Lab can help.  The Sleep Lab offers both in lab studies and home sleep studies for ages 16 and older.
