Dr. Saad Alsaab, Cardiologist, has joined the Medical Staff of Somerset Hospital. He will be practicing with Dr. V. Krishnan Nair at Somerset Cardiology Associates, an affiliate of the hospital. Dr. Alsaab’s primary focus within cardiovascular medicine is Interventional Cardiology, non-invasive multi-modality imaging and clinical cardiology.

Dr. Alsaab has completed the following: a Residency in Internal Medicine, British Columbia School of Medicine, Vancouver; a Fellowship in Cardiovascular Medicine at the Ottawa Heart Center, University of Ottawa, Canada; a Fellowship in Advanced Cardiovascular Imaging, Harvard Medical School, Boston; and, a Fellowship in Interventional Cardiology, Mt. Sinai Heart Institute, New York. As a Fellow at Mr. Sinai Heart Institute, Dr. Alsaab worked with Dr. Samin Sharma, one of the top interventionalist in the field and who performs the highest number of percutaneous coronary interventions in the state of New York.

Dr. Alsaab earned the British Columbia Teaching Award in Internal Medicine in 2002 and the Achievement and Dedication Award of Interventional Cardiology Fellow at Mt. Sinai Medical Center in New York. He is Board Certified in Cardiovascular Medicine, Internal Medicine, Echocardiography, Nuclear Cardiology and Board Eligible in Interventional Cardiology
