Lacie Morocco, physical therapist, has joined the staff of the Somerset Hospital Rehabilitation and Wellness Center. The Somerset native recently completed her studies to earn her Doctor of Physical Therapy from Chatham University of Pittsburgh.
Ms. Morocco received her undergraduate degree in Rehabilitation Science with a minor in Wellness and Fitness from the University of Pittsburgh. She graduated Magna Cum Laude and also earned a certificate in Pathokinesiology.
Morocco has obtained extensive clinical experience while completing internships at various institutions including Health South Rehabilitation Hospital, Nova Care Rehabilitation and Somerset Hospital. She previously participated in a brain-injury team which involved the rehabilitation of patients with traumatic and non-traumatic brain injuries. In addition, Ms. Morocco completed a systematic review research project on the effect of deep brain stimulation on the functional outcomes in patients with Parkinson’s Disease.
