CardioPulmonary Services

The CardioPulmonary services department offers a wide range of diagnostic and therapeutic services. Cardiology offers the following state-of-the-art services, stress testing, echocardiograms, holter monitoring,30 day heart event monitoring, ECG testing and EEG testing. Included in cardiology services is the cardiac rehabilitation program, which is designed to meet the needs of patients with cardiac abnormalities and patients at risk of developing heart disease. Somerset Hospital's echocardiography service is accredited by ICAEL.

The award winning program offers services to both inpatients and outpatients.  Pulmonary services offers the following: diagnostic testing, arterial blood gas analysis, sleep diagnostic studies, oximetry monitoring, pulmonary function testing featuring the regions only complete lung analysis system. In addition to providing therapeutic services to our inpatients, the respiratory department also offers breathing treatments and asthma education services to our outpatients.

The department offers a monthly support group for our patients with breathing disorders.  A new service being offered is in home follow-up for patients discharged from the hospital to assure effective in home treatment. The pulmonary department has a full-time rehabilitation program which is individually tailored to meet the needs of patients with breathing disorders.
