Lamaze Childbirth Class
Join our certified Lamaze instructor in these weekly classes to prepare for the happy, hectic weeks ahead. Take this class with your support person and other perspective parents to enjoy comprehensive childbirth training. Relaxation techniques with calm breathing patterns will hopefully assist with relief of anxiety and afford you comfort.

Breastfeeding Class
Join our lactation specialist as she guides you through the process of breastfeeding your newborn prior to his or her arrival. Our instructor has personal and professional experience with maternal child health and is a mother of four herself.

Five Hour Childbirth Class
Join us for a one day course to prepare you for pregnancy, childbirth and your journey into parenthood.  This course covers the how and why of pregnancy, an introduction to the labor and delivery experience, the topics of infant feeding, choosing a pediatrician and home preparation for your new baby.

THE INSTRUCTORS
Your instructors for these classes are three professionals who bring a fresh and exciting approach to the childbirth experience assuring calm, knowledge-filled journey from Childbirth to Parenthood.
 
Suellen Lichtenfels, RNC, LCCE has over thirty years experience in maternal child health, as a manager, obstetrical nurse, and her favorite aspect, teaching. Suellen shares her knowledge of Lamaze theory as well as the experience on the hopes of meeting the needs of every client.
 
Deborah Perl, RN, IBCLC is a maternal infant nurse, mother of 4, who has been involved with Le Leche League though meetings and conferences. Personal and professional experience with maternal child health and breastfeeding enable Deborah to provide a calm technique on assuring mother’s of the necessary knowledge they will need.
 
Daria Parker, RN, IBCLC, CBE is the coordinator of the Healthy Beginnings Program at Somerset OB/GYN.
