Stroke Center Information

A stroke is a very serious medical emergency, and it is important to get to the hospital as soon as possible. Call 911 immediately if you suspect that you or someone you know is experiencing a stroke.

Signs of a stroke include:

  • Face Drooping
  • Arm and Leg Weakness
  • Speech Difficulty
  • Confusion
  • Trouble Seeing
  • Difficulty Breathing
  • Sudden Severe Headache

Somerset Hospital is in the process of developing a program that will enhance our care of stroke patients in preparation for applying to The Joint Commission (TJC) for Primary Stroke Center (PSC) certification.  We are proud to offer this care to the members of the community and look forward to improving the outcomes for stroke patients and their families.
