Sue Schimpf, RN, BSN, of the Somerset Hospital Cardiac Catheterization Lab has been chosen the Hospital’s Employee of the Quarter for October to December 2009.
Sue earned her nursing degree from the Conemaugh Valley Memorial Hospital School of Nursing and began working at Somerset Hospital in July 1978. She was appointed as an Administrative Nursing Supervisor in September 1997 and has worked in ICCU as a Registered Nurse.
Sue has been serving as a Registered Nurse in the Cardiac Cath Lab since December 2002.
In 2005, she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Penn State Fayette.
Sue was nominated by the staff of the Cardiac Cath Lab. "Sue has a genuine interest in
the staff and patients of Somerset Hospital," states co-worker Karen Wedding.
"She always puts her patients as priority one. She is always friendly and compassionate
and great role model," added Pam Geary, Cardiac Cath Lab Coordinator
Mrs. Schimpf, the Employee of the Quarter candidate #2, is now in the running for the
2010 Employee of the Year which will be announced in September 2010.
