The Medical Imaging Department provides diagnostic, ultrasound, CAT scan, bone densitometry, PET/CT, nuclear medicine, special procedures, MRI and mammography services.
The Medical Imaging Department went to a digital, filmless environment with the use of PACS (Picture Archiving Communication System) in May 2006 and performs approximately 82,00 procedures a year.
Highlights of each of these areas are as follows: Diagnostic – Certified and licensed by Department of Environmental Protection. Registered technologists services are available 24 hours, seven days a week. Ultrasound – Certified by American College of Radiology, registered technologists offering services 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
MRI services have been expanded through the construction and installation of the area’s first short bore MRI, CAT Scan – Personnel staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine, MRI and Mammography Services are all accredited by the American College of Radiology.
