Please keep eyeglasses, dentures, hearing aids and contact lenses in properly labeled containers in the bedside stand. The Hospital cannot assume responsibility for the loss of personal items, money or valuables that are left in your room.

Tobacco Free Policy
As a leader of healthcare in the community, the Tobacco Free policy is a statement to our patients, employees, and visitors that we are striving for a healthy environment. It is Somerset Hospital’s belief, that by eliminating tobacco use, the risks to patients and visitors are reduced including possible adverse effects on treatment, reducing the risks of passive smoke to others and reducing risks of fire. This policy applies to all buildings, grounds, parking lots, ramps, vehicles and sidewalks adjacent to Somerset Hospital and Affiliates owned or leased properties. This includes smoking and the use of any tobacco product including electronic devices.
Somerset Hospital does offer free smoking cessation classes. For more information, please call the Community Connection at 814-443-5735.
Room Service Dining Somerset Hospital offers “At Your Request: Room Service Dining”. This is a complimentary program offered 7 days a week to meet your nutrition needs and requests. Somerset Hospital is committed to providing pastoral care for patients, their families and staff. Pastoral Care offers educational resources on hospice services, long term care, stress management and Bibles upon request.
Somerset Hospital offers access to a hospital based chaplain, who is not affiliated with a church, but solely dedicated to the ministry of healthcare. The Chaplain is available for general hospital visits, prayer, and administration of the sacraments of baptism, communion and support for terminal illness. If you would like to speak with a chaplain, please tell any staff member or dial the hospital operator. The Somerset Hospital Chaplain does make rounds daily Monday through Friday.
The Chapel is located near the South Center Avenue entrance and is open to the community for prayer and reflection. If you know someone in need of prayer, our chapel offers an anonymous prayer request box for your convenience.
If you prefer to see your own pastor during your hospital visit, Somerset Hospital supports this, and will make every effort to notify your pastor of your hospital stay if you so desire.
